Are you passionate about creating great food and delivering the best service?As a Catering Assistant with ISS UK, you will assist the team with food presentation and service in a busy staff restaurant.The role includes regular interaction with both customers and staff. Duties involve a wide range of preparation and service tasks, such as clearing tables, loading and unloading dishwashers, cleaning, and other general responsibilities to support the smooth running of the restaurant.The Role
  • To assist, as directed, with all aspects of food service preparation and presentation
  • To serve customers in an appropriate and professional manner
  • To lead and provide food and beverages at service counters, ensuring sufficient supplies are maintained throughout service periods
  • To handle transactions at cash desks, ensure current prices are charged, and reconcile cash takings where appropriate
  • To ensure meals and services comply with agreed budgetary standards and cost controls
  • To ensure restaurant tables and service areas are kept clean and adequately stocked during service times, and replenished as required
  • To maintain a clean and tidy immediate working area at all times
  • To undertake all aspects of cleaning, including equipment, walls, fixtures and fittings, pots, pans, cutlery, glassware, and other relevant items
About You
  • Enthusiastic approach to work
  • Catering experience is preferred - but a positive, can-do attitude is essential
  • Good understanding of the principals of food hygiene
  • Must be reliable and well presented
  • Comfortable in a customer-facing role
  • A determined team player who works well with others
