- Execute medium to heavy fabrication.
- Demonstrate proficiency in fabrication skills and techniques for various metal types, including steel and stainless steel.
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings accurately.
- Safely handle heavier components using mechanical aids and cranes to reduce manual handling risks.
- Work in a variety of environments, primarily within the workshop and workbench, with potential on-site tasks that may include working at height or in confined spaces.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and other machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and hazard-free work area by adhering to good housekeeping practices.
- Follow all company policies related to Health and Safety, including the use of PPE.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by the company.
- Welding candidates will be required to complete a weld test as part of the interview process to demonstrate their skills and aptitude. (previous experience of bridge manufacturing would be advantageous).
- Welders BSE9606-1 qualification
- Platers NVQ Level 3
