The Head of Finance will oversee all financial operations, ensuring effective management and compliance within the organisation.
  • Manage all financial reporting and budgeting processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements in compliance with relevant standards.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure effective governance.
  • Supervise and mentor the finance team, promoting professional growth and collaboration.
  • Provide expert financial advice to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including audits and regulatory filings.
  • Monitor cash flow and financial performance to support organisational objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimisation and resource allocation improvements.
6 month fixed term contract with Oxford UniversityHybrid working 2-3 days in the office in central OxfordA successful Head of Finance should have:
  • Professional accounting qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
  • Extensive experience in financial and management accounting from a complex business
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and, corporation tax VAT
  • Have sound accounting knowledge of the financial and non-financial requirements of small and medium-sized companies
  • Proficiency in financial systems (Oracle) and tools to streamline operations.
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills with a strategic mindset.
