Design Engineer

• Lead and support the design, development, and introduction of new products, as well as redesign existing ranges.
• Produce detailed 3D CAD models and technical drawings for manufacturing and customer requirements.
• Work closely with production teams to ensure designs are optimised for manufacture, making adjustments as needed.
• Organise and oversee prototype production and testing to confirm correct form, fit, and function.
• Create loading information, technical specifications, and bill of materials (BOMs).
• Design customer specials and provide associated technical support and documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to design and manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and other departments to provide technical input and assist with marketing materials.
• Carry out CAM programming and produce flat patterns for manufacturing.

• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related discipline).
• Minimum of 18 months' experience in a design-related role within manufacturing/industrial environments.
• Strong 3D CAD skills (SolidWorks preferred).
• Familiarity with Quality Management Systems and ISO 9001.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise across teams, customers, and external organisations.
