
SEMH Teaching Assistant

- Support students aged 11-16 with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs
- Work closely with the SENCO, pastoral team, and external agencies to provide tailored support
- Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions, promoting emotional regulation, self-esteem, and resilience
- Be a positive role model, helping students re-engage with education in a safe, structured environment
- A recent psychology or criminology graduate (2:1 or above preferred)
- Passionate about making a real impact on the lives of vulnerable young people
- Calm, empathetic, and able to build trusting relationships
- The ability to commute to Bristol.
- Previous experience with young people or vulnerable groups (voluntary or paid) is a bonus, but not essential
- Ideal stepping stone into educational psychology, social care, or youth offending services
- Extensive on-the-job training and the chance to work alongside multi-agency professionals
