
Proposals Engineer & Account Manager

- Managing customer accounts after initial enquiry from Sales team to project handover
- Interpret technical specifications and develop costed proposals and concept sketches
- Preparing concept design drawings, and performing basic calculations
- Producing quotations and commercial documentation to support sales bids
- Material selection to suit the materials requirements and environments
- Attending customer meetings
- Work closely with the engineering and project teams to ensure solution accuracy.
- Perform detailed engineering calculations using both software or hand calculations – These include: Structural, fluid dynamic, finite element analysis, and general mechanics
- Support project management, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams
- Provide technical support to internal and external customers.
- Maintain forecasting and CRM activity for assigned accounts.
- Support existing Gas Turbine and New Build project enquiries.
- Contribute to cost-reduction initiatives and product improvement strategies.
- Research and development to maintain market leadership.
- Substantial experience in a mechanical design role
- Previous commercial responsibilities in a role with client facing exposure
- Good understanding of fabricated structures/components and manufacturing techniques.
- Ability to create P&ID’s
- The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specs
- Experience working with engineered systems such as pressure vessels, filtration units, Gas turbines, skid-mounted packages or similar Oil & Gas or Energy products would be HIGHLY beneficial
- Ideally exposure to customers within energy, oil & gas, or process sectors (e.g., EPCs or OEMs).
- The ability to create conceptual work from scratch with minimal support
- Mechanical design qualification or relevant engineering qualification
- Be commercially minded with a consultative sales style would be greatly beneficial
- Competitive salary package - £35k - £55k (Depending on experience)
