We are actively recruiting for a Legal Secretary to join our Family team in Manchester, supporting our Head of Practice.Working alongside our fee earners, we are seeking those who can provide administrative support, ensuring effective management of files from opening to archiving, whilst also handling post, dealing with enquiries where possible from clients, executive and external parties and lodging documents with the relevant courts, completion of court forms may also be required.Other duties would include assistance with billing requirements, maintaining financial records and bill preparation. There will also be instances whereby outstanding costs and disbursements would need to be chased, along with ensuring paying in of cheques and managing the fee earners time recording, billing and debtor management.What are we looking for
  • Previous experience in a secretarial position within Family Law
  • Previous secretarial experience supporting senior lawyers
  • Experience in managing multiple diaries
  • Experience in dealing with clients
  • Excellent oral and written communication skill
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Previous experience of paperless working, digital case management and finance systems an advantage.
