Job Description:Location: South West GlasgowHours: 40 hour per week with additional Callout/StandyCompetitive SalaryAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Security Systems Engineer, predominantly installing, servicing, and maintaining a large geographically spread CCTV system within a High Security site. The system is made up of a high number of remote CCTV towers, requiring regular maintenance, charging, and reactive repairs as required.You will work as part of a two man dedicated site based team and will carry the added responsibility of being the lead engineer in the team.Due to the nature of the role you will be required to be flexible to meet the requirement of the site. This may include Out of hours such as evenings and weekends. Further opportunities to assist the wider area field service team will also present themselves during the summer months when the site CCTV system will not demand as much servicing hours.About the RoleThe project will involve working with world-class enterprise electronic security systems and would suit both experienced candidates, but also candidates with a good grounding in electronic security systems or IT systems (Networks and Servers) with a strong desire to step up and learn.Carry out rolling programme of preventative maintenance as scheduled by the team coordinators or Manager.Carry out additional installation and commissioning works as directed by team co-ordinators and / or Manager.Assist the Design Team in conducting surveys around the site for additional work.Provide cover on an out of hour's basis on a rotating rota.Assist the Health and Safety Lead and Manager in ensuring audits are carried out for quality procedures.In conjunction with the Manager and Health & Safety Manager, to assist in the production of Risk Assessments, Method Statements and other documentation as required to gain Permits to Work in a timely manner.To work in absolute compliance with all site procedures..Carry out any additional tasks that may be required as Lead engineer on site.What we are looking forA minimum of 5 years experience installing or servicing a wide product base within the electronicsecurity industry - Specifically CCTV, but further experience with Access Control and Intruder alarmsystems would be beneficial.Broad IT knowledge, eg. software installation into Windows Operating Systems, IP based systems and networking principles.Knowledge of basic electrical principals such as measuring voltage, resistance and current.
