Our mission is to connect exceptional teachers, support staff, and leaders with temporary and permanent positions, ensuring the best fit for both educators and institutions.The Role:As a Social/Emotional Intervention Senior Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to students who may be facing social or emotional challenges. Working closely with the school's pastoral team, you will implement intervention strategies designed to promote well-being, resilience, and positive mental health outcomes. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting and facilitating students towards achieving their full potential and removing barriers to learning and to provide social and emotional intervention to support student progress and the transition back into mainstream.
  • Building positive relationships with students, offering a listening ear and compassionate guidance.
  • Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to the ALNCo.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with young people in and educational setting or youth support setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting students with social and emotional needs.
  • Experience with nurturing school programmes and trauma-informed practices is highly desirable.
  • Background in educational psychology, counselling, therapeutic interventions, or primary mental health support is welcomed.
  • Flexibility, resilience, and a proactive attitude towards problem-solving.
