- Competently carry out general maintenance, installations, and repairs to equipment both planned and preventative.

- Work alongside mechanical resources, including toolmakers and fitters.
- General site electrical maintenance (including offices, shopfloor, warehouse, and grounds)
- Overtime call out duties where required (for emergency electrical issues
- Support the Continuous Improvement Manager where required with working alongside third party contractors.
- Ensure maximum uptime and minimum downtime of all operations.
- Liaise with production / toolroom teams over machine breakdowns to prioritize repairs.
- Liaise with production / toolroom teams to inform them of progress of breakdowns and project work.
- Effectively manage break-down and/or failure of equipment and plant by taking appropriate remedial action in the following areas: PLC's, Electrical Control Systems, Hydraulics and Pneumatics.
- Carry out a safe system of work for Predictive, Preventative and Planned Maintenance as required.
- Support factory operatives in troubleshooting machine issues/faults.
- When situation demands source and collect from suppliers, replacement parts for emergency breakdowns/equipment failures.
- Maintaining records for planned and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Participation in Project Engineering including:
- Automation.
- Press & New asset installations.
- Press maintenance.
- Electrical compliance.
- Electrical upgrades.
- Electronics.
- Ensure a high standard of housekeeping is maintained in your working area (6s)
- Actively participate in H&S initiatives and events
- Ensure all guarding and safety equipment is in place and used when needed.
- Personal protective equipment to be worn when required including safety glasses, steel toe cap boots etc.
- Report all health and safety or maintenance issues.
- Ensure health and safety requirements are met and understand all relevant safety regulations.
- Follow site H&S procedures and safe systems of works.
- Knowledge of power press and progressive die stamping operations preferred
- Strong proven experience in working in a heavy industrial environment.
- Able to read electrical drawings.
- Strong understanding of BS7671 wiring regulations.
- IPAF desirable.
- Experience working alongside contractors.
- Experience with preventative planned maintenance and TPM systems.
- 17th/18th edition qualified.
- Minimum HNC/Apprentice trained.
- Ability to fault find PLC's.
- Ideally come from an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work at height.
