- Providing day to day repairs and upkeep of the interior and exterior areas of our pubs and hotels in the Oakman Group.
- Assisting with remedials to ensure we meet legal compliance, and our pubs and hotels are well maintained and look great for our guests.
- Learning and building your knowledge of all areas of the pubs you are responsible for, as well as general maintenance skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks working closely with site Managers.
- Working well with other team members to ensure a smooth and prompt response to any maintenance issues.
- Attending training and completing e-learning modules to improve your skills and aid your development.
- Flexibility to work as this position is full time 45 hrs per week.
- A good working knowledge of general maintenance including a knowledge of plumbing, general building, carpentry and painting and decorating.
- Knowledge of relevant Health & Safety at work regulations.
- The ability to work in a team or independently and around guests.
- Ability to plan ahead and purchase materials.
- Ability to keep basic records and submit details of company credit card spend on time.
- The ability to think on your feet, respond quickly and problem solve effectively.
- The role requires good mobility and fitness as work will involve bending down, using step ladders, manual handling and working outdoors at times.
- You will need a full clean UK driving licence and the ability to drive a small van.
- Good command of written & spoken English
