Project description1st and 2nd level production system support on Murex 3.1. You will join a global team providing technical and functional support to traders and their support departments across all the business areas. The team covers a range of products and functionalities within Murex, liaising with risk, product control, front office and other support teams. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of experts across multiple functional areas, providing the opportunity to further your knowledge in many areas of Murex.Responsibilities
  • Work on a variety of Murex system implementation, configuration and developments in various aspects of Murex including MXML pre-trade and post-trade workflows, market data interfaces, dynamic tables, complex SQL queries
  • Coordinate and communicate with business and IT stakeholders to gather, document and verify requirements
  • Analyse and make recommendations based on related Murex implementation experience
  • Follow client SDLC lifecycle and documentation requirements
  • Support IT and business audits and technology risk assessments
  • Write clear and concise documentation of issues and resolution within confluence
  • Analyse and resolve issues related to PnL, market data, market operations, interfaces, reporting
  • Provides detailed information about issues to the vendor, and co-ordinates with them in testing fixes / solutions
  • Follows UK working hours
SKILLSMust have
  • 3+ years working experience in Murex
  • Familiarity with various Murex Modules including: MxML, Datamart, Trade Capture, Trade Events, Processes scripts, UDFs, Access Rights, Static Data, Maturity sets, Market Data and Workflow (pre-trade and post-trade)
  • Must have a technical bias to cover workflow/SQL/pre-trade
  • Reasonable product understanding
  • Strong reporting/SQL skills and understanding of dynamic tables
  • Able to troubleshoot and reverse engineer workflow/pre trade
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills; Problem solver; Detail oriented
  • Able to prioritise issues and understand technical and business impacts of incidents
  • Ability to work with business and IT stakeholders independently
  • Technology skills: Sybase, XML, Unix/Linux scripting
  • Knowledge of Interest Rate, Equities, SFT and FX financial products
