- Play an active role in achieving sales targets, developing new business, growing existing business and increasing market share
- Maintain and service existing classified advertisers to maximise revenue
- Canvass new advertisers from a range of sources, including competitive magazines and exhibitions and online/social media to increase revenue into our brands
- Service your agencies and develop key relationships via phone, email and sometimes face to face meetings
- Maximise the number of calls and ensure that the optimum percentage of time is spent on the phone to new and existing clients, to maximise selling opportunities
- Achieve or exceed all revenue targets
- Be aware of client’s circumstances, business and market trends, magazine changes and budgets, to remain informed and maintain a high level of professionalism
- Initiate ideas to help build the classified sections
- Sell digital advertising and other digital channels
- Report all sales activities on Salesforce
- Attend the weekly meeting and prepare figures for review
- Liaise with the production department on ad copy on a regular basis
- Ensure pages are filled to deadline
- Monitor and analyse competitive media for business leads
- Take an active interest in the relevant industry, and to make every effort to stay up to date with all industry developments
