Job DescriptionReconciliation Payroll AccountantLocation: Salford Quays, ManchesterRole: Permanent OpportunitySalary: 26-32kI am looking for an experienced Reconciliation Accountant, specifically with experience and exposure to payroll & double entry.My client is a national recruitment & staffing organization, looking for someone who is ambitious and keen to develop.ResponsibilitiesPost the contractor payroll and reconciling related balance sheet accounts; reconciling HMRC RTI reporting to the nominal ledger; and supporting the finance teamWeekly balancing and posting of payroll journals.Reconciling payroll creditors accounts.Ensuring the payroll team reconcile overpayments information on a weekly basis to ensure errors/ missed entries are identified and resolved on a timely basis.Monthly preparation of HMRC RTI payments, ensuring these are passed for approval on a timely basis so that any queries can be raised/ resolved and the payment deadline still achievedMonthly preparation of court order payments.Liaising with the payroll team to ensure all contractor deduction requests are raised and queries resolved.Monthly reconciliation of pension creditor and investigation of any variancesMonthly reconciliation of apprentice LevyOtherIdentification of possible process improvements and working with stakeholders to implement (including alignment of processes across subsidiaries)Adhoc duties including projects required to support business objectivesLiaising with auditorsKey Performance Indicators:Timely and accurate outputMinimal reconciling items on balance sheet recsAble to explain all reconciling items on balance sheet recs and RTI.Meet all month end and weekly deadlinesPayroll processes across subsidiaries aligned (or valid reason to explain why processes vary)Successful completion of ad hoc tasks/ targetsQualificationsAAT Level 4www.morson.comMorson Group, placing people first.
