- Create realistic, awe-inspiring animations that will be at the cutting-edge of the VR space.
- Balance, tinker and playtest your work to optimise the overall game experience.
- Communicate across disciplines, from code and character art to animation to deliver assets that fulfil gameplay requirements.
- Mentor and support the junior and mid-level artists in the team, particularly focusing on enhancing their skills with Motion Builder.
- Take responsibility in creating and overseeing in game animations.
- Performance and accountability - a commitment and focus to producing work of the highest standard to time and budget.
- Communication and relationships - the ability to work collaboratively with the wider team at Elevation, develop visual ideas and give and receive feedback constructively.
- A strong set of core skills - including a strong understanding of concepts, animation workflows and how they interact with other disciplines, optimising animation systems and structures within game engines for different platforms.
- Demonstrable ability to process and manipulate mocap data to create believable animations along with a demonstrable versatility, showing an aptitude to tackle a wide range of subject matters from stylized to realistic.
- To employ a clear creative process from reference, concept and development to the final style, finishes and execution.
- A degree or equivalent qualification and at least 4 years experience in real-time game development.
- Experience working within a team.
- An aptitude for new software, tools and technology, including a good knowledge of Motion Builder, Maya and Unreal engine.
- An aptitude to apply yourself to new technologies.
- Demonstrable 3D skills showing a strong understanding of technical console limitations and capabilities, and PBR pipeline.
