North West Academy of English are seeking innovative and qualified English language tutors to join our 2024 freelance register at our British Council accredited language school. Candidates should be hardworking and enthusiastic teaching professionals with excellent subject knowledge and a sound understanding of ELT methodology.The applicants will be motivated individuals with a keen interest in encouraging and inspiring students to love learning. They will also be readily able to incorporate a range of teaching techniques including IT.RequirementsDuties
Ability to teach a range of students: juniors to adults; beginner to advanced level.
Ability to assist in course design and regular updating of resources would be highly desirable.
General administrative duties including lesson planning, monitoring and reports/Preparing and implementing schemes of work and lesson plans in advance for each lesson..
Participation in monthly meetings to maintain standards of the Academy and promote staff development.
Performing and implementing the Safeguarding and Health and Safety practices and policies in the ELT department.
Participating in observations and taking any feedback and recommendations on board
Assisting in maintaining working standards and requirements in line with British Council requirements
Liaising with other departments of the NW Academy to ensure programmes are delivered efficiently
Qualifications:Essential: Minimum of TEFLI certificate in ELT/TESOL (CELTA/Trinity) and background in linguistics/foreign languages.
