- Reviewing repair estimates, reports and invoices to ensure that costs are controlled, repair methods are carried out to Thatcham, and or Manufacturers specification.
- Support customer repairs by ensuring estimates from network and non-network repairers are appropriate for the damage caused by the incident providing feedback to repairers where warranted and authorising repairs in a timely manner.
- Supporting total loss queries using industry valuation tools (Glass’s MVA, Percayso) to place accurate valuations on total loss vehicles taking into account mileage, condition and pre-existing damage including information about the vehicles history from HPI and MIAFTR. This will be supported by conducting market research to support total loss settlements. Finally, place accurate salvage category on the salvage in accordance with the ABI Code of Conduct 2017
- Upskilling and supporting the handling teams with ad-hoc queries while also providing training to increase the engineering knowledge across the claims and fraud team
- You’ll have previous experience in the motor trade with experience of mechanical vehicle repairs and an understanding of vehicle body damage repair techniques and methods
- You’ll have an understanding and ability to read, interpret engineers reports on all levels and knowledge of key repair and valuation systems (e.g. Glass’s Guide, Glass’s Repair Estimate, Audatex and GT Motive)
- You’ll have knowledge of the legal requirement for roadworthy vehicles in accordance to the Road Traffic Act
- You’ll have an ability to work independently in a fast moving office supporting the claims team for all technical enquiries and while working with salvage agents and repair networks to help resolve issues in a timely fashion.
- You’ll have excellent stakeholder management and experience managing external stakeholders and building relationships
- You’ll be detail oriented, proactive and able to problem solve and suggest solutions
- You’ll have the capacity to multitask and prioritise in a logical, structured and disciplined manner
- You’ll have a current AQP qualification ID number is essential
- Ideally you’ll have a recognised motor vehicle qualification such as IMI, and be a member of the Institute of Automotive Engineering Assessors (IAEA)
