About The RoleWe are recruiting for a Manufacturing Operations Manager to join our expanding team based at our site inBarton-upon-Humber. The candidate will work 5 days a week Monday toFriday from 7:00 until 15:30.
  • Set and clearly communicate goals and deadlines for departmental performance in line with the company’s plans and visions, monitoring daily progress to ensure targets are always met
  • Assess staffing resources and effectively organise workflow to ensure all tasks within departments are carried out competently and to the highest standard
  • Maintain personnel records and monitor timekeeping and absences, liaising with HR for support as required
  • Assess and review staff performance, offering feedback, both constructive and positive, to support professional development of team members
  • Act as a key liaison between Department Managers / Supervisors to clearly communicate updates, targets and any operational changes and feedback suggestions, improvements and concerns from team members to management
  • Enforce quality standards across teams to meet quality objectives, reporting any issues to senior management
  • Undertake any other duties as reasonably as requested by the VP of Operations or Management
In addition to any other duties, as a responsible person you must ensure that you have read, understood and adhere to polices and procedure relating to Health and Safety, and your responsibilities located in the Integrated Management System(IMS)Responsibilities document.About YouSkills & knowledge:
  • Familiarity with company policies and legal guidelines
  • Knowledge of products, including raw materials, bought in products and manufactured items
  • Knowledge of quality systems and standards
  • Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental standards and compliance
  • Knowledge of machinery, tools and manufacturing processes
  • Excellent computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office
  • Proven experience in a management role
