As a Senior Care Assistant, we ask for you to care for our residents like they are your own family, caring for their Physical, Psychological and Social needs. Assisting residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing and assisting with meals. As a Senior Care Assistant, you would also be responsible for the medication round, as well as leading the shift. We would love to hear from you if you have previously worked as a Senior Care Assistant, Care Giver, Homecare Worker or Community Support Worker, as we provide full training, we also welcome applications from candidates who do not have previous senior experience but have a passion for care with a valid qualification.22 hours per week on a 7 day rota.We are a part of family run business part of the Wood Care Group and our Employee's are important to us."Become a key worker and make a difference"About You:Above all, we're looking for kind and caring people who want a job where they can really make a difference to people's lives. You'll also need:
  • Level 3 in Health & Social Care, or care certificate. However all training is providing so these are desirable not essential.
  • Previous experience working in a Care Home environment is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience of leading a team.
  • A committed and organised approach.
  • A confident communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexible to work shifts.

- Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing needs, demands of the home and participate in appropriate training and encourage and support staff in their development and training.
- Employee's need to ensure they fully understand their safeguarding responsibility, develop their understand and skills to reduce the risk of abuse or neglect to adults who need care and support. Employee's need to ensure that adults are safeguarded in a way that recognises their choice and control. Ensure that the safeguarding and whistle blowing policies are adhered too at all time.
- Provide evidence of any untaken training.
- Comply with fire procedures and health and safety legislation and work in a safe environment.
