We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Boston for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. This role is full time with 1 in 6 weekends with time off in lieu. The practice also provide their own OOH and there will be a share of weekend nights.Key details

The role
  • The role is based within a small animal hospital
  • The role involves a mixture of consulting and surgeries.
  • The role will support areas of interest. The Hospital see a wide variety of cases including plenty of orthopaedic cases and have the space to have another surgeon looking to develop in this area.
  • A vet with an interest in imaging would be an advantage.

  • They offer a wide range of modern veterinary services and diagnostics, including an in-house laboratory, CT scanner, Dental x-ray, Endoscope and Ulltrasound
  • They have a large team of 15 Vets, 14 Nurses, 7 SVNs and 15 VCAs
  • They have the facilities and caseload to support clinical development
  • They have a supportive and friendly team
  • They can offer support for areas of special interest, along with funding for certificates

About you
  • The Vet will have a good level of surgical experience
  • A Vet with an interest in orthopaedics and experience with orthopaedics would be an advantage
  • You will have excellent communications skills
  • You will have a positive attitude and show empathy to both clients and team members
  • You will be a team player and be able to work in a collaborative manner
Package
  • Salary: Up to £80,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
  • Holidays: 6.6 weeks annual leave, increasing with service and birthday off
  • CPD: Generous allowance of £1,500 with 5 days to attend

Must haves:
  • RCVS registered and qualified or soon to be
