We are recruiting on behalf of a mixed animal practice in Pitlochry, Perthshire for a Permanent Mixed Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. This role is full or part time with weekends and on-call on a rota.Key details

  • Team: 8 vets, 3 RVNs, 1 SVN and support team
The role
  • This position is available on a full or part time basis.
  • The role is ideal for an experienced mixed animal Vet. The practice deal with both small, farm and equine.
  • The practice encourage case continuity and Vets are encouraged to work up their own cases and there is additional support available from the large team.
  • Areas of special interest are encouraged and supported.
  • They are able to provide an interesting and challenging caseload allowing for ongoing development.
  • Flexible working and rota patterns available to accommodate a good work / life balance. EG Rota to work around the school run / holidays /lifestyle.
  • The Vet will be responsible for providing a high standard of veterinary care and customer service.
  • The Vet will be responsible to ensuring that there is excellent communication between themselves and the team and with clients.
About them:
  • Established Small, Farm and Equine Practice located in the stunning Scottish Highlands.
  • They are fully equipped with facilities including digital x-ray, laser therapy treatments, Bovine Ultrasound Scanner, stance analyser, motorised equine dental rasp and rigid endoscope.
  • They have a large team of 8 Vets and 8 Nurses and 1 SVN.
  • They support personal development with a generous CPD allowance and encourage and support certificates and additional training.
  • The practice provides a high standard of care and customer service to all its patients and clients.

  • The Vet will be able to organise their own time well and remain calm under pressure.
Package
  • Salary: Up to £63,000 pro rata, commensurate to experience
  • Holidays: 6.6 weeks annual leave, increasing with service and birthday off
  • CPD: Generous allowance of £1,250
  • Memberships: RCVS, VDS and BVA fees paid
