Apprentice Machine Operator£16,224 Per AnnumWymondhamSwarm is assisting Hi-Span in their search for a Level 2 Engineering Operative Apprentice.   • To operate machinery producing metal products for the steel construction industry
  • Ensure tolerances and parameters are met to satisfy quality and output
  • Ensure production timings are met/exceeded
  • Follow company rules and adhere to procedures and Health and Safety standards
  • Work as part of a team to produce orders on time and within customer's expectations/quality requirements
  • Ensure correct marking up of component parts
  • Crane Operative
  • Material Bundling
Working WeekMonday to Thursday working hours are from 8am to 4:30pm, Friday working hours are from 8am to 3.30pm, 39 hours per week.Desired Qualities and Requirements
  • Ability to work effectively and use own initiative
  • Good communication skills
  • Hardworking and eager to learn
  • Some knowledge of Health & Safety Legislation (preferred but not essential)

Training and more Information:For more information about Hi-Span visit their website:Training will be with us - Swarm Reagit, a national provider of apprenticeships throughout the UK. The successful candidate will work towards the Level 2 Engineering Operative Qualification, this apprenticeship will take 12 - 18 months to complete with assessments.The level 2 Engineering Operative Standard includes spending 4 weeks at the Swarm REAGIT centre in Norwich. During these 20 days of intensive training, the apprentice will develop skills in:
  • Health and Safety and workshop behaviours
  • Hand tools and traditional engineering techniques
  • Working with and understanding technical documentation
