We're the independent minded and passionate achievers in the spirits industry, innovating the iconic.Be Part of Our Signature MixCompany: Glen Grant LimitedJob Title: Whisky QA SpecialistJob Location: Glen Grant DistilleryReports to: Quality ManagerGeneral Description of the RoleThe QA Specialist is responsible for assisting the Quality Manager in the implementation and control of Quality Assurance and Control within the site.Contributes to the compliance with regulatory requirements and those defined in QHSE management systems Global, Regional and Site and related procedures or work instructions in this regardMission/ObjectivesTo provide technical support to enable the QC Department to function effectively, whilst adhering to the Campari Group and Glen Grant QHSE System and ControlsKey Responsibilities and ActivitiesThe main responsibilities of the QA Assistant are:
- Operational Quality Control checks during production of raw materials, dry goods and semi/ finished products
- Preparation of laboratory samples, recording results and archiving.
- Quality Controls checks of incoming goods
- Updating of site QHSE documentation and applicable records
- Operational control and verification of compliance with regulations in the field of QHSE;
- Participation in the of Food Safety Assessment of the Risk Assessment as required by HACCP and ISO 22000 and FSSC 22000
- Investigating, where its able, the measures of prevention and protection to allow the collection of data and indicators relating to QHSE, including all quality related Non Conformances,
- Support the operating procedures and instructions of the site;
- Participation during internal audits and external audits carried out by the certification bodies or by supervisory authorities.

- 5-8 years in a Whisky/Food Quality Role
- Laboratory experience
- General quality control related to Food Safety
- Maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment
- Preferred HNC Laboratory Science or equivalent
- Knowledge of QHSE regulations and guidelines
- Knowledge of Scottish and UK legislation relative to Food Safety
- Ability to follow technical instructions and specifications
