This is an exciting opportunity to fulfil a hybrid role, working across both the Laboratory Support and Sample Management areas.Key responsibilities:
  • Receive samples, perform integrity checks and complete all necessary documentation;
  • Log samples into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), managing storage and disposals;
  • Laboratory equipment maintenance and associated record keeping;
  • Reagent preparation and glass washing;
  • Pipette calibrations, maintenance and management;
  • Conduct analytical work using appropriate techniques and in accordance with regulatory standards, e.g. ISO 17025;
  • Act in compliance with the site Health & Safety Policy;
  • Maintain a clean, tidy and well-equipped work area, observing any operational regulations.

Qualifications
  • Educated to GCSE level, acquiring 5 GCSE’s graded A-C (or 9-4).
  • Experience in a regulated laboratory environment is advantageous.
  • Sound computer skills, experience of Microsoft Office.
