The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, to source product requirements, build effective relationships with suppliers to optimise price, availability and quality and regularly review stock levels.Duties including but not limited to:· Supporting the buying team in building and executing an effective procurement strategy· Building and maintain relationships with suppliers· Negotiating, placing and expediting orders with suppliers· Liaising with stakeholders, both internal and external to ensure availability and the time lines of materials for production across the site· Monitoring order prices regularly to improve costs· Being an active participant in the cross functional team to continually drive process and procedural improvementsExperience required:· Experience as a buyer within a manufacturing environment is essential· Solid experience of negotiation, including negotiating price and terms· Computer literate with excellent IT skills including Microsoft office Excel· Have strong attention to detail and good organisational skills· Be self motivated, determined and driven to help develop the role· Work well under pressure with the ability to work to strict deadlines· A proactive team player who is honest, hardworking and a positive attitudeBenefits:· On site parking· Health and well being programme· Employee discount· Company pension· Company eventsPlease contact us today with your updated CV
