Job Description:The opportunity:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Site Security Manager based at our Edinburgh site.
The Site Security Manager will lead the day to day direction, control and planning of Physical, Personnel and Information Security delivery at
Leonardo Edinburgh and Newcastle sites.
You will be responsible for the protection of company employees, assets, infrastructure and capability in alignment with internal and external
compliance requirements.
Reporting to the Security Operations Manager, you will use your knowledge and experience in Security to operate at all levels in the business
in order to deliver functional and business requirements.
The role is site based in Edinburgh and will additionally require occasional travel to Leonardo Newcastle to support the operational delivery of
Security.What you’ll do as a Site Security Manager:
Lead all Business Security day to day operational requirements in the delivery of current and future business objectives at the
Leonardo Edinburgh and Newcastle sites
  • Ensuring compliance to policy, process, and procedure adherence to achieve operational objectives.
  • Implementation of Security policies and procedures in a consistent manner
  • Manage, monitor and report on security visits and inspections by Government and Contracting Authority
  • Ensuring daily management, administration & maintenance of all security technology to achieve operational effectiveness.
  • Identify, document, mitigate and monitor physical and personnel security threats and vulnerabilities
  • Contributing to business planning for security so that it is integral and mainstream
  • Develops internal / external security stakeholder relationships in support of the business and functional objectives
  • Act as an ambassador for Security to establish, develop and support a security culture.
Manage, motivate and develop security teams and related resources for the effective and timely delivery of Leonardo security
requirements.
  • Manage third party suppliers and relationships in order to ensure cost effective delivery of required services
  • Assume site Crypto Custodian responsibilities and complete associated assurance reviews and audits
  • Carry out security investigations
  • Responding to critical incidents
  • Provide comprehensive security related advice and guidance
What we need from you:
You really must have:
  • Knowledge and experience in Operational Security Management preferably within Defence Industry
  • Strong leadership skills with experience of leading and motivating teams
  • Have experience of implementing policy and guidance
  • Have experience of building relationships with customers, partners, suppliers and internal stakeholders at all levels
Have experience working as a Crypto custodian or alternate
  • Clear understanding of NPSA operational requirement processes and working with approved equipment catalogues
  • Ability to engage and influence key internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to manage internal and external issues to deliver the business outcomes
  • Have good planning and analytical skills
  • Have strong communication skills, both written and spoken and be able to communicate and present at a senior level
