Job Description:Maintenance TechnicianRole Overview:Huntsman is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician for our chemical manufacturing site in Llanelli, Wales. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for corrective and planned preventative maintenance of the sites mechanical equipment and working as part of the Shift Operations Team to resolve production issues. Apply today!Role Responsibilities:· Install, commission, maintain, and repair mechanical plant equipment.· Conduct timely reactive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment uptime.· Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for locating, planning, and scheduling completion of Work Orders, including material procurement.· Take responsibility & accountability for the long term “ownership” of an area of site, and all the equipment therein.· Daily liaison with Lead Operator & Engineering Staff to establish priority activities for the shift.· Supervision, as required, of contractor workforce employed in related activities.· Provide technical support during equipment installations and upgrades.· Complete all required Planned Maintenance activities.· Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment history.· Adhere to corporate Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) guidelines in all activities.Experience and Competencies:What we are looking for:· Time-served Mechanical Apprentice with a minimum 3 years of appropriate, post apprenticeship mechanical experience.· Preferably experience in the maintenance of pumps, pipelines, pressure vessels and heat exchangers.· Preferably, experience in the chemical industry; however, candidates with relevant experience in other industries will be considered.· Mechanical engineering or related qualification will be a strong plus.· Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations.· Proactive, career-focused attitude with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.· Effective communication and teamwork abilities.About Us:Huntsman Corporation is a publicly traded global manufacturer and marketer of differentiated chemicals with 2022 revenues of approximately $8 billion.
