Technical Sales Manager - Clinical Diagnostics

Our client having successfully gained credibility within the clinical sector for sterile animal blood products, has diversified their product range to include the manufacture of ready prepared culture media and expanded into a new diagnostics division. The group will continue to grow organically, with further diversification into new and developing markets. Their culture is to lead by innovation, encompassing the highest family values with professional business practice at all times. They are currently seeking suitable candidates for the role of Sales Manager to lead/direct and develop two technical sales executives in England. In addition they will be responsible for the management of their own territory in Scotland and Ireland.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will be responsible primarily, for business development within the regions and must have a good technical knowledge of microbiology.

Main responsibilities include:

• Generate new business, as well as developing existing client base.

• Lead / direct and develop two technical sales executives in England.

• Liaise with Sales Team and Directors on all projects.

• Manage own territory of Scotland and Ireland in addition to the above.


Ideal candidates must possess a strong sales background, with a proven track record, preferably in a scientific / clinical sales environment. You must have strong man management skills, excellent communication skills and enjoy relationship selling. You must have experience of clinical, industrial or food sectors and above all have enthusiasm to succeed and be part of a growing business, and have well developed written and verbal communication skills along with a high level of computer literacy and excellent time management skills. You must also be able to demonstrate a proactive approach to tasks and provide strong commitment to achieving specified goals.
