This specialist Coastal & Rivers team is continually in demand worldwide for projects involving coastal and river management and the enhancement of the environment. Their broad knowledge and experience enable them to find practical solutions for the most complex of problems, for example flood risk management against the backdrop of climate change and coastal erosion.

The Coastal & Rivers team in Glasgow is looking to recruit a Senior Coastal & River Engineer to join the expanding team with people who have experience in flood risk projects. Your experience could include Hydraulic Modelling or Hydrology (Graduate or Chartered) to provide technical expertise in modelling of river and coastal systems. Your responsibilities will include:
• Solve river and coastal management problems through application of numerical modelling, particularly hydraulic modelling of flood risk.
• Provide expert modelling and hydrology support advice to clients and staff throughout the Company.
• Manage modelling contracts and modelling tasks within wider projects.
• Keep up to date with advancing technologies.
• Prepare proposals etc as necessary.
• Share knowledge and expertise
• Communicate and co-operate with colleagues and project team members
• Maintain up to date professional knowledge
